DropBox has been around for some time and many people are already using it to share and sync files, folders, media and more. This site has been a direct competitor to the Box.net web site and Box.net recently released a big 50GB share for free. The only problem is that they do not offer a syncronization software for their service for free and DropBox does! I have been using DropBox for some time now and I think that it is an amazing service for free.
Share Between Your Own PC’s With DropBox
This is the biggest reason that I love the DropBox Application, you can make a new folder on all of your home PC’s and then they are automatically synchronized. This is great for people who operate multiple computers though out the day. In my case I am always jumping from computer to computer because I have some software that I need to work installed on different PC’s. With DropBox, when I save to one computer it is on all of them, which is really nice.

Share With Clients With DropBox
Often clients are needing access to project files while myself or my company or working on them. The DropBox sharing feature makes this a snap. You can take you large videos or spreadsheets and place them on a company shared folder. Then no matter where in the world you clients are they have access to all the project files from their desktop. This not only looks professional, but makes collaboration easy as can be.
Share With Friends And Family With DropBox
Well, this may be a big one for some people, but I generally don’t use this service much for my friends and family. The fact that most of them have other accounts to send files to, like email and so forth. However, if you are sharing large files with friends you will find no simpler way to share. Simply add your files and add their email address to the access list on that folder and Viola they have your files, fast and easy.
